PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique by which the stabilization of a flow rate in a diaphragm pump is attained and a manufacture holding high quality is automated. SOLUTION: An automatic flow rate control apparatus for a coating material supply air pump is constituted so as to be provided with an electromagnetic flow meter 9 arranged in a coating material forcibly feeding passage 5 between the diaphragm pump 4 and a coating gun 6 and for outputting a flow rate signal about a coating material and an automatic control and pressure reducing valve 10 for controlling the flow rate of the coating material by controlling an air pressure to the diaphragm pump 4 based on the flow rate signal from the electromagnetic flow meter 9 to a set value. A signal processing part 11 for amplifying the measured signal by the electromagnetic flow meter 9 enough to control to return the variation of the flow rate to the set value by the automatic control and pressure reducing valve 10 can be provided.
