PURPOSE: To provide an optical fiber coupler manufacturing device capable of fixing highly accurately and uniformly the positioning of a bare fiber part. CONSTITUTION: Groove members 6a and 6b are prepared for housing a bare fiber part and fixing it by applying a pressing force from above in both sides of a fusion splicing region when the bare fiber part is spliced by heat. The groove members 6a and 6b in both sides are made integral by a connecting member 10 and thus a positional relationship between left and right grooves 11 is always maintained. For its material, zirconia ceramics is used. A gas burner 8 is movably placed between the groove members 6a and 6b in both sides. |
