PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a footwear direction shifter which can shift a direction of footwear without changing a grip condition of the handle when a user puts off footwear at a porch and preliminarily shifts a direction of the footwear for putting on later. SOLUTION: This footwear direction shifter comprises the bottom plate, a rotary plate rotatable in parallel with the upper face around the center shaft erected at the center of the bottom plate, a rotation shaft for rotary plate rotation equipped on the rotary plate, and a handle equipped on the top of the rotation shaft. The shaft for rotary plate rotation is equipped rotatable against the rotary plate and the handle against the shaft for rotary plate rotation. The rotary plate can be rotated in 180 deg. by moving the handle along a semicircle arc. The rotary plate is in contact with the bottom plate via a slide member, is lightly slid and rotated in a condition no person is on the rotary plate, and cannot be slid and rotated because friction between the slide member and the bottom plate in a condition a person is on the rotary plate.
