The first hook (17) secured to the tailgate (2) has a hook section pointing upwards and the second hook (18) secured to the rack (3) has a hook section pointing downwards. These two sections have surfaces which are in contact with each other when the tailgate and rack are in closed position. These surfaces are moved apart without any transmission of force between the two hook sections when the tailgate is swung open. The tailgate is of the type which is mounted on hinges (9) in the vehicle roof region (10), so that it is opened by swinging it upwards. |
