PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtration device which makes it possible to obtain large- scale filtration area of hollow fiber membrane by using a hollow fiber membrane element which is short in membrane length, is small in diameter of potting part and is simple in structure. SOLUTION: In this filtration device, a hollow fiber membrane cartridge 12 is constituted in such a manner that water collecting bodies 21 are disposed along the intersecting direction with respect to a water collecting main pipe 19 which collects permeate, thereby, the water collecting bodies 21 and the water collecting main pipe 19 are communicated, at the same time, hollow fiber membrane elements 1 are constituted with hollow fiber membrane bundles 2 having potting parts 3 at least on one end, the respective potting parts 3 of hollow fiber membrane elements 1 of proper numbers are attached to the water collecting bodies 21.
