<p>The inventive device comprises plural permanent magnets arranged side-by-side in an elliptically-shaped ring structure, with adjacent poles being of the same polarity. An electrically conductive wire is wound around the ring of magnets, also hollow tubing interspersing the windings. Coolant is pumped around the tubing so as to cool the overall device. A control circuit is connected to the wire windings for selectively generating current to circulate through the windings. The current includes both AC and DC components. The AC component is programmable to match a resonant frequency of the dysfunctional cells to be treated. The circulating current creates an electromagnetic field which interacts with the field from the permanent magnets. A complex field pattern is thus generated causing positively-charged ions within the dysfunctional cells to collide with other ions, resulting in cell destruction by implosion.</p> |
