PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which is simple, compact and inexpensive and whose productivity in image formation is not reduced even in the case of preventing the occurrence of an abnormal image such as jitter due to a shock received by the leading edge of transfer paper being a body (P) to be transferred. SOLUTION: This image forming device is constituted of a toner image forming means 1 for forming a toner image, a press-fixing means 2 for pressing the toner image formed on the body (P) to be transferred by the toner image forming means at a fixing position (F), a press-fixing means 3 for pressing the body (P) to be transferred where the toner image is formed by the fixing means 2 or separated from the body (P) to be transferred where the toner image is formed, and a pressing force adjusting means 4 for making the fixing means 2 and 3 press the body (P) to be transferred or separating them from the body (P) to be transferred according to the thickness of the body (P) to be transferred.
