A tricyclic compound of formula (II), where: RN is selected from the group consisting of: (A) phenyl-CH2- where phenyl is optionally substituted with 1 or 2 of alkoxy, F, Cl, Br, I or alkyl; (B) RN1-CH2-O-CH2- where RN1 is selected from the group consisting of: phenyl which is optionally substituted with alkyl, F, Cl, Br, I or alkoxy; (CH3)3Si-CH2-; RN2-O-CH2- where RN2 is alkyl; CH2=CH-; H; or alkyl; (C) CH2=CH-CH2-, CH3-CH=CH-CH2-, or phenyl-CH=CH-CH2-. Also described is a hydroxy compound of formula (III) where RN has the same meaning as defined above and where RX is Br, Cl or I. Also described is an ester of formula (IV) where RN and RX have the same meanings as defined above. Also described is a hydroxy-amino compound of formula (V) where RN has the same meaning as defined above. Also described is tetracyclic compound of formula (VI), where RN has the same meaning as defined above.
