PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easily dividable sequence data into parts and to facilitate the emphasis or the like of one part of parts. SOLUTION: In a data converting device 1 for preparing data 3 by parts by dividing sequence data 2 of a music box into parts for playing a reproducing device having a plurality of channels, this device has a priority order setting means 4 for setting the priority order of sounding for all the channels, an event data preparing means 7 for preparing NoteOn event data equipped with the information of musical scale and sounding time and NoteOff event data equipped with the information of silencing time, and a channel setting means 8 for aligning the event data in the order of sounding time and silencing time, retrieving a channel not to be used at the sounding time of the NoteOn event data in order from early time and setting the retrieved channel not to be used of the highest priority order for sounding the event data. |
