PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage medium for storage of catalog information, a catalog information reproducing device, and to provide its method. SOLUTION: Catalog information, constituted in forms of static images and additional information is recorded, together with audio data on a storage medium 210, such as a DVD as an optical recording storage medium, and catalog information is reproduced at playback of the audio data to provide various information for playback audio data. A buffer memory 250 for catalog playback is provided, in order to provide a catalog function which allows free real-time browsing during playback of audio data, while keeping the compatibility with already determined standards, and contents of a catalog can be automatically reproduced, in matching with the reproducing state of audio data, when a user does not have another selection.
