PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable display panel having an electrode connection structure suitable for a thinned structure and a planar image forming device. SOLUTION: The display panel is located with an electrode connecting member 107 for a connection to wiring 106 of the display panel, slits capable of holding a plate or display panel are provided on one part of that electrode connecting member 107, and a contact member and lead wiring capable of an electric connection with wiring are embedded in that electrode connecting member, and attached to the plate or display panel by the slits. The electrode connecting member 107 is formed so that the external form can be almost matched with that of the display panel attached with that electrode connecting member, and attached closely to the corner part of the display panel.
