PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove a discharge product adhering to the surface of an image carrier and to prevent an abnormal image caused by the discharge product in an image forming device where an image is formed by electrifying the image carrier, exposing the electrified image carrier so as to form an electrostatic latent image, making the electrostatic latent image a visible image as a toner image and transferring the toner image to a transfer material. SOLUTION: By making a product removing member 30 carrying zeolite abut on the surface of the image carrier 1 and bringing the zeolite into contact with the surface of the image carrier, the discharge product adhering to the surface of the image carrier is adsorbed to the zeolite, and the removing member 30 is rocked in the axial direction of the image carrier 1.
