摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistance welding electrode for an alkaline battery capable of preventing short circuit generating after battery assembly caused by splashes generating by spark in resistance welding. SOLUTION: Welding electrodes 21, 22 are composed of electrode bodies 23, 28 made of chromium copper and chips 24, 29 connected to a contact part of the electrode bodies 23, 28 with a work and made of metal such as molybdenum insoluble to alkali, and even if a spark is generated during the resistance welding and splashes generated by spark enter a battery case 4, since the splashes are formed of fine powder of the metal insoluble to alkali, short circuit will not take place.
