PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convergence adjuster which can shorten the adjustment time in a convergence adjuster for deciding compensation data in advance for a convergence compensating system consisting of a compensating coil and a compensation control circuit. SOLUTION: The convergence adjuster 5 is equipped with a detection means 1, a pattern generating means 2, a convergence computing means 3, and a data preparation means 4. Moreover, the convergence compensating system 10 is equipped with a compensating coil driving means 6, a memory 7, an arithmetic unit 8, and the compensating coil 9. The transient time delay of the compensating current of the compensating coil or the miscovnergence, etc., caused by the vertical interpolation with the compensation data are reduced, and the adjustment time of all points of measurement is shortened by stipulating the update position of the compensation data, the adjustment order, etc., making them correspond to the convergence on the display screen.
