PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium and a method for manufacturing the medium, by which warpage of the whole recording medium including a surface cover layer can be decreased to such a degree that the objective lens will not touch the surface cover layer by wobbling of the surface of the recording medium. SOLUTION: An optical disk D1 has a surface cover layer 7 composed of a sheet member 5 and a double-face pressure sensitive adhesive layer 6 having a separator made of Teflon (R)-based material and has a substrate 2, having an information face 3 and a recording layer 15. In the dielectric protective films disposed near the recording layer, the dielectric protective film 16, formed in the side of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer having >=180 nm or larger film thickness. |
