摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which uses the light emitted from a phosphor as a light source and is capable of making stable color display without being affected by a change in the chromaticity of the light source. SOLUTION: This display device is constituted by measuring the temperature information of a fluorescent lamp 5 of which the green light emitting phosphor is a europium activated strontium aluminate by a thermometer 7 installed near the fluorescent lamp, correcting a display signal 11 in accordance with the temperature information obtained from this thermometer in a display signal correcting circuit 4 and displaying the signal on a liquid crystal panel 1 through a control circuit 3 and a driver 2. Then, the display signal is corrected in correspondence to the change in the chromaticity of the emitted light which occurs when the temperature of the fluorescent lamp changes and therefore the display can be made at the intrinsic chromaticity on the liquid crystal panel.
