Micronised particles of colistin sulphomethane sodium wherein at least 90% by volume of the micronised particles have a diameter of less than 10 micrometers for use in the treatment of a pulmonary infection by powder inhalation and the colistin sulphomethane sodium is no separated into component form. The micronised particles can be mixed with a carrier such as lactose to form a composition with no free liquid.
