PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily manufactured electric connector having a grounding member with a large and stable contact pressure in a connecting portion. SOLUTION: In the electric connector, a straight non-grounding terminal 21 is held in parallel with an axis of a cylindrical metal shell 10 by a housing 30 held in the shell, and at least one straight grounding terminal 20 is held in parallel with the non-grounding terminal 21 by the housing 30 or a grounding member 40 connected with the shell 10. The grounding member 40 is formed by punching a tabular metal member and it has a ring part 41 and a grounding part 42 radially extended from the ring part. The ring part 41 is fit in the shell 10 and a contact part 41 of an outer circumferential face contacts the shell. A fitting hole 42A is formed on the contact part 42 and the grounding terminal 20 is press fitted in the fitting hole.
