PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system that automatically updates data in a wireless communication terminal in matching with revision of data in a database. SOLUTION: A private branch exchange PBX conducting control, required for communication, is accessible to a database DB for storing an original of telephone directory as data. A memory of a terminal PS stores a copy of the original telephone directory as telephone directory data. The version number is attached to the respective original and copy telephone directories. The terminal PS and the exchange PBX are accessed to each other via a wireless channel between a wireless base station CS and the terminal PS. When the data of the original telephone directory is changed, the exchange PBX calls the terminal PS at midnight and receives the version of the copy telephone directory. When the version number of the copy telephone directory differs from the version number of the original telephone directory, the exchange PBX reads the original telephone directory from the database DB and transfers the original telephone directory to the terminal PS. The terminal PS uses the transferred data, to update the copied telephone directory.
