PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use hydrocarbon less in influence to global warming as a refrigerant and prevent combustion due to leakage of the refrigerant in a merchandise storage chamber in a refrigerant circuit of an automatic vending machine. SOLUTION: Mixed hydrofluorocarbon is used as the refrigerant and quantity of the hydrofluorocarbon is set under a lower limit value of a combustion range of the refrigerant to air quantity of the merchandise storage chamber 1B with the least capacity. Thus, since the influence to the global warming when the refrigerant is emitted in the air due to breakage of the refrigerant circuit, etc., is extremely minimized, in addition, even when the refrigerant circuit is broken and all quantity of hydrocarbon gas is leaked and charged in the merchandise storage chamber 1B, it does not reach the lower limit of combustion with the air, concentration of the hydrocarbon gas is not raised until the storage chamber reaches the combustion range and consequently, the storage chamber is not ignited even when a ignition source exists.
