PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a spacer assembly in which the spacer assembly of the plane display device can be easily manufactured. SOLUTION: The spacer assembly 22 comprises a first and a second spacer 30a, 30b that are provided integrally respectively on the first and second surface of the plate-shape grid 24. Each spacer has a shape that becomes narrower toward the extending top end. The first and the second spacer are formed integrally on the surface of the grid by filling and hardening a spacer-forming material in the penetrating hole of the molding dies, after closely contacting and arranging the first and the second molding die having a penetrating hole painted with a mold releasing agent containing an organic content on the first and second surface of the grid.
