A soldering lug comprises a length of tinned copper wire with a portion of it bent generally into a Z-shape. with the three arms of the Z parallel and adjacent to each other, mounted in a hole in a plate by the distortion of at least one of the bends of the wire. The width of the hole is one wire diameter and its length three wire diameters. In a further embodiment, Fig. 3 (not shown), the wire below the plate is bent to run along the lower surface of the plate, and in this case a soldering lug is only used on one side of the plate. |
