PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the trouble of a fixing device caused by failure such as the increase of mechanical load by detecting doubly feeding when doubly fed material to be recorded rushes in the fixing device in an image forming device. SOLUTION: This image forming device characterized by a means for forming an image by thermal fixing in order to form a desired image is equipped with a means for detecting the current of a DC motor for driving the fixing device in order to eliminate inconvenient trouble caused when the doubly fed material to be recorded passes through the fixing device before and just after the material to be recorded rushes in the fixing device and comparing two values, and has a means for stopping energizing the fixing device and stopping the fixing by considering a state as doubly feeding when a difference between the two values is equal to or above a specified value. |
