PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To omit a complicated wiring structure and to easily perform an exchange for each pixel when a defect occurs. SOLUTION: A display panel provided with a display element for display and light emitting and receiving parts for transmitting signals is arrayed in the shape of matrix. The display panel is formed into rectangular plate, and the light emitting part and the light receiving part are arrayed along with both side edges. The display panels are arrayed so that the light emitting part of one display panel can face the light receiving part of the other display panel, and signals are exchanged by light. Physical wiring such as aluminum wiring is simplified and when there is any defect on the display panel, it can be speedily exchanged. |
