PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an approach detecting method and its device without malfunctions and to surely detect approach of a suspicious man, etc. SOLUTION: A capacitor 11 consisting of a pair of electrodes that none of them are grounded in an oscillating circuit to oscillate rectangular waves is defined as a detecting part, the rectangular waves outputted in a signal processing part 2 are bisected, signals one of which is inverted for odd-numbered times and the other of which is inverted for even-numbered times in inverting circuits 21a, 21b are integrated respectively in integration circuits 22a, 22b, two integrated values are inputted in a comparator circuit 23 and when difference between them exceeds a set value, they are outputted to a warning part 3.
