PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device which has high reliability by repelling insects to a wide range of parts of the disk device and sustaining an insect-proof effects over a long period and a vibration absorbing material which has an insect-proof function and is used for the disk device. SOLUTION: The sheet-like vibration absorbing material, impregnated with a material having the insect-proof effects, is arranged between a housing 1 of a casing for internally housing mechanism section and a printed circuit board 10 packaged with control circuits 11 for controlling the operation of the mechanism section in the casing housing 1. As a result, the disk device and vibration- absorbing material which have the high reliability by repelling the inspects to a wide range of the parts of the disk device and sustaining the insect-proof effects for a long period can be provided.
