PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high safety protector for motor drive without requiring the wiring incident to increase in the number of detecting parts. SOLUTION: The protector for a motor drive comprises a control section 5 performing multiplex monitoring of the rotational state of a motor 2 based on at least two pieces of information outputted from a section 4 for processing the information from a detector 3, i.e., the signals of the position, speed, and pole position of the motor, and a section 9 judging the rotational state of the motor based on the rotational phase information outputted from an induced voltage detecting section 7. When a difference appears in the rotational state of the motor subjected to multiplex monitoring, the control section 5 delivers a motor stop operation command to a drive section 6 and judges that the protector is abnormal. |
