PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the operability lowers when a single remote controller is used for remote operation of a plurality of home electric apparatus because an operation for switching the control object is required, the number of input buttons increases, and correspondence between the operation keys and actual operation becomes obscure. SOLUTION: The remote control system comprises such an arrangement as an apparatus being controlled by the user of a remote controller is determined by comparing the receiving state of a signal transmitted from a single simple remote controller among respective apparatus and only an apparatus selected as a result of determination executes processing corresponding to the control.
