摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field sequential system display device in which a color breakup is suppressed without greatly changing the amount of power consumption and the temperature range possible to display. SOLUTION: AN animation/still picture discriminating circuit 61 conducts discrimination to determine whether display data DD are animation data or still picture data. During an animation displaying in which color breakup easily occurs due to the movement of user's visual line, the number of the frames per second of time is increased. During a still picture displaying in which color breakup hardly occurs, the number of the frames per second of time is reduced. Moreover, when the temperature of a liquid crystal panel 21 is detected and the detected temperature is equal to or more than prescribed temperature, the number of the frames per second of time is increased to suppress the occurrence of color breakup. When the detected temperature is equal to or less than the prescribed temperature, the number of the frames is reduced to provide a displaying at a low temperature.
