PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable high-speed color reading by providing a structure matching even the required high-quality reading when using a color contact image sensor, with which a CCD is used for a read element, for the reading part of a color image forming device. SOLUTION: When using a color contact image sensor, with which a plurality of CCD are located straight in line in a main scanning direction as reading elements, for the image sensor of a color image reading part, each of CCD has one analog shift register for RGB time division reading and three RGB read opening parts parallel provided at pitches corresponding to reading resolution and the pitch of pixels in the main scanning direction becomes a fixed interval.
