PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system construction device capable of easily constructing a system. SOLUTION: A user activates the respective editors of a function editor part 2 by using the input device of a user interface part 21 and performs the arrangement of units constituting the system, the connection of the units by signal routes, the setting of the attributes of the units and the editing of design information, etc. The information is stored in a system design data storage part 28 by a data processing part 22. When the user inputs conditions on the construction of the system by a search condition input part 34 instead of activating the function editor part 24, the constitution of the system is decided within the range of satisfying the conditions by a system constitution search part 35.
