PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability by easily electrically connecting both Dumet wires of a lamp to respective terminals and completing attachment of the lamp to a socket body by the connection. SOLUTION: In the socket for the lamp, the lamp 30 is attached to the socket body 10, and a pair of terminals 40 electrically connected with a pair of the Dumet wires 32 of the lamp 30 are incorporated in an interior of the socket body 10. Both terminals 40 are provided with connecting parts 46 and 48 of shapes cut in from end parts of the terminals in at least two respective places. Each connecting part 46 and 48 is exposed to the outside of the socket body 10 and the Dumet wires 32 can be inserted through each connecting part 46 and 48 from the end parts of the terminals 40.
