PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare and manage an electronic name card and also to easily authenticate the genuineness of the electronic name card. SOLUTION: An electronic name card preparing and managing part 225 of an electronic name card preparation and management system 220 collates an update date of personal information of a personal information DB 221 with a preparation date of corresponding history information of a name card history DB 223, prepares an electronic name card on the basis of the personal information in the case the update date is newer than the preparation date, and stores the electronic name card in a name card storing part 224. The part 225 also registers history information and a preparation date about the prepared electronic name card in the name card history DB 223. The part 225 also updates a section of corresponding authentication data of an authentication information DB 231 from the latest name card to an old name card and registers authentication data about the prepared electronic name card in an authentication information DB 231. An electronic name card authentication system 230 refers to corresponding authentication data of the authentication information DB 231 in response to an inquiry from a name card receiver and prepares and returns an authentication result.
