PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a credit card credit reference system and a data converting device, which can perform credit reference by reading information stored in the IC chip of an IC card by using credit terminal equipment for reading the information of a credit card with a magnetic stripe. SOLUTION: In the system for performing the credit reference by reading credit information stored in the card with the magnetic stripe by a credit terminal 16, a data converting device 13 writes credit information stored in an IC chip 11 of an IC card 10 in a dummy card 14 with a magnetic stripe 15 whose reading is available by the crediting terminal 16, and the credit terminal 16 reads the credit information stored in the magnetic stripe 15 of the dummy card 14 in order to perform the credit reference. |
