PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-speed/high-performance random number generator provided with uniformity and not provided with regularity, correlation or periodicity. SOLUTION: The random number generator 10 is composed of a flip-flop 1 establishing the state (0 or 1) of output corresponding to the phase difference of two input signals, a phase adjusting part 2 adjusting the phases of the input signals and a feedback circuit part 3 controlling the phase difference so as to converge the appearing rate of 0 or 1 of flip-flop output by the input signals to a fixed value within a prescribed repetition cycle. In this case, the phase adjusting part 2 is provided with the coarse adjustment means and fine adjustment means of the phases operated in due order respectively. By this constitution, a phase adjustment width is increased, phase adjustment time is shortened and random number generation is accelerated. |
