PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the prevention of the faulty separation of transfer material from an image carrier compatible with the prevention of faulty fixation in an image forming device having a transfer means 6 for electrostatically transferring a toner image formed on the image carrier 2 to the transfer material 14, a fixing means 11 for thermally fixing an unfixed toner image on the transfer material separated from the image carrier, and a pre-transfer exposure means 5 for exposing and destaticizing the surface of the image carrier on which a toner image is carried on a more upstream side in the moving direction of the image carrier than a transfer part. SOLUTION: Setting to use the pre-transfer exposure means 5 is switched in accordance with the kind of the transfer material 14 used for the image forming device, and the fixing controlled temperature of a fixing means 11 is changed. |
