PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data communication system not only clearing up the state immediately but also continuing communication even in the case that set addresses duplicate or a sequence is skipped. SOLUTION: For the data communication equipment, main body equipment (air conditioner) 1 and a remote controller 2 are provided with a signal abnormality detection means 31 receiving communication signals (self reception signals) corresponding to the communication signals (self transmission signals) transmitted by itself, comparing the self reception signals with the self transmission signals and detecting the abnormality of the transmission and reception signals and an abnormality display means 32 displaying that it is during transmission stoppage. When the signal abnormality detection means detects the abnormality of the transmission and reception signals, it is judged that the address of itself overlaps with the set address of the other main body equipment or remote controller, the next transmission is stopped, and the fact that it is during the transmission stoppage is displayed at the abnormality display means.
