PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode container for a sodium-sulfur battery having a structure capable of sufficiently absorbing and relaxing expansion and contraction of the positive electrode container by thermal variation and simply manufacturable at a low cost. SOLUTION: This positive electrode container 1 for a sodium-sulfur battery is a bottomed cylindrical one formed of a metal material. The container is provided, in the vicinity of an open end 20 of the container, with a bent part 21 where the outside diameter on the bottom side of the container is larger than that on the side of the open end 20 of the container.
