The vehicle lift for a handicapped user has a lifting platform (1) which can descend to ground level to lift loads up to the level of the vehicle load bed to allow movement into the vehicle. The lifting platform can slide horizontally in the vehicle on a frame (3) having four rollers (4) and a rubber track sliding in two rails fixed in the vehicle. The lift may be mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or electric with pushbutton controls.
