PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical receiver that controls dispersion characteristics of a variable dispersion equalizer capable of controlling a dispersion value to be an optional value so as to optimize an optical waveform. SOLUTION: The optical receiver where an optical signal received via the dispersion equalizer is converted into an electric signal resulting in an amplified data signal with a prescribed amplitude and the data is identified and recovered at an identification point controlled to be an optimum position by a clock data recovery circuit controls the dispersion characteristics of the dispersion equalizer by controlling an eye-pattern of the data signal amplified to have a prescribed amplitude so as to minimize an error in the data signal recovered by the clock data recovery circuit. |
