<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the peak power of a radio communication in a multi- carrier CDMA system, without conducting nonlinear processing. SOLUTION: An amplification-measuring unit 108 measures the peak power of output signals of an IFFT unit 107 and determines whether the measured peak power is exceeding a threshold, which is previously set or not. When it is found that the peak power exceeding the threshold, the peak value is discarded; and when the peak power is below the threshold, the peak value is outputted to a radio transmission unit 109. A scramble code selection unit 103 selects a first code number, which is predetermined when the peak power lies below the threshold. The selection unit 103 selects a scramble code, whose code number is next to the number of the code number that is selected before, when the peak power is above the threshold. A scramble code multiplication unit 104 multiplies the output signal of a multiplex unit 102 by the scramble code, when the peak power is below the threshold. The multiplication unit 104 multiplies signals stored in an internal memory by the scramble code, when the peak power is the threshold.</p> |
