<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a link resource, that is consumed by backup communication connection which is set to protect main communication connection in a connection-oriented network. SOLUTION: A backup LSP is set from each LSR other than the output side LSR of a main LSP 301. Each backup LSP should be set between the LSR, used as a start point and the output side LSR, so that each backup LSP is not shared with a link and a node on a main LSP to be protected. When merging with other backup LSPs for protecting the same main LSP, that has already been set, while the backup LSP is to be set, merging is conducted at the LSR used as a junction. In Fig. 2, only a backup LSP 306 has reached the output side LSR, and other backup LSP 307-309 are merged with a backup LSP 306 in each of the LSR 106-108.</p> |
