PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To explain execution of a technique regarding right protection of contents of video sequence. SOLUTION: This technique mentions generally a technique wherein burying of an asynchronization coping watermark which can not be acknowledged in video sequence is facilitated, and detection of such a watermark is facilitated. The watermark has resistance to amendment which is unintentional or intentional, and especially has resistance to asynchronization. The watermark is invisible in sense. Since the watermark is hidden in video, flicker is restrained to a minimum or excluded. More concretely, in this technique, a watermark (or a part of it) which is in one frame of continuous frames or extended along a plurality of regions is hidden. In each of the regions, a center defined by hash value exists. The watermark (or a part of it) is encoded in the region by using PLATO system. The watermark (or a part of it) is encoded perfectly in a frame surrounding the center of the region and disappears gradually toward an edge of the region. In this summary, an intension restricting the range of this patent does not exist. The range of this invention is indicated in attached claims. |
