PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor chip having an input protective means for suppressing an increase in an input capacity in a semiconductor device according to an MCP. SOLUTION: The semiconductor chip comprises the input protective means having transistors 11, 12 formed in a field region between N<+> -type diffused regions 161, 171 and 181, and has a first input protective circuit having a smaller input capacity than that required for the semiconductor device of an SCP, a second input protective circuit similarly having N<+> -type diffused regions 162, 172 and 182, and a third input protective circuit similarly having N<+> -type diffused regions 163, 173 and 183. When the chip having the input protective means is used for the semiconductor device of the MCP, some of the first to the third protective circuits are connected to input nodes in response to the number of the included chips. Meanwhile, when the chip is used for the semiconductor device of the SCP, all the input protective circuits are connected to the input nodes.
