PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a transfer position where a toner image is transferred to transfer material from being deviated from a specified transfer position even when the peripheral length of an intermediate transfer body is changed with time or even when there is an individual difference at the time of manufacturing in the peripheral length of the intermediate transfer body. SOLUTION: When the peripheral length of the intermediate transfer body is elongated because of secular change or when there is the individual difference at the time of manufacturing in the peripheral length of the intermediate transfer body, timing to start carrying the transfer material is corrected by a carrying start timing correction means (step S6) in accordance with the elongation and the individual difference of the peripheral length, whereby a situation that the transfer position where the toner image is transferred to the transfer material is deviated from the specified transfer position caused by the elongation of the peripheral length because of the secular change of the intermediate transfer body or the individual difference at the time of manufacturing in the peripheral length of the intermediate transfer body is prevented. |
