PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promptly re-start communication at abnormal condition times of communication. SOLUTION: Abnormal condition of communication is detected by measuring a time from transmission of a demand frame to a communication line (L), to receive of the response frame corresponding to the demand frame. At the detection of the abnormality in communication, a physical address of the relevant station is deleted from a cache. When the demand frame is notified to the deleted station, the physical address is obtained newly, by implementing address settlement demand again, and the transmission is carried out, based on the newly obtained physical address. Without being restricted on the device with detected abnormality in communication, the communication can be re- started, and the communication based on the physical address is conducted, according to the practical device connecting structure.
