PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording and reproducing device that reduces surface deviation and shaft center deviation of a disc, that can be made thinner, and that prevents a dynamic pressure lubricant from being scattered to the outside part of a motor for driving the disc, even if the filling amount of the lubricant varies. SOLUTION: The spindle motor of the information recording and reproducing device is made up of a rotating disc 5, comprising an integrated disc part 3 and a rotating cylindrical part 4 a bearing sleeve 6, a thrust supporting plate 7, a rotor yoke 9, a ring magnet 10 magnetized to a plurality of poles, and the like. Facing the stator 13, a second lubricant pooling part 23 of a ring shape, which comprises a groove of a wedge shape in cross section at the inside circumference side close to the bearing sleeve and near to the disc part 3, is formed on the rotor yoke 9 that fixes the ring magnet 10. A tapered part, whose inside diameter increases as it approaches closer to the disc part 3, is formed from the opening part of the rotor yoke 9, toward the groove that forms the second lubricant pooling part 23. |
