PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage image data by using information relating to access to the image data for the image data kept in an image server. SOLUTION: The image data S0 acquired in an image pickup means 1 such as a digital camera are kept in the storage part 21 of the image server 2. The image server 2 is accessed from an external terminal 3 such as a personal computer or a portable telephone through a network 4 and the downloading and print ordering of the image data S0 are performed. At the time, access relating information A including the present location of the terminal, an access person and access time and date, etc., is transmitted from the external terminal 3 to the image server 2. The control part 22 of the image server 2 imparts the access relating information A to the image data S0. Then, based on the imparted access relating information A, the access person, an access location and the number of times of the access, etc., are recognized and the image data S0 are managed corresponding to them.
