PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image information producing device for recognizing a person in an image material by image recognition techniques to associate the image with the recognition results; and an image editing device for editing images with reference to information on a person appearing on an image program when producing the image program. SOLUTION: The arrangement comprises: an object detecting means 11 for detecting an object from an image signal; an object feature database 12 for accumulating an image feature of the object; and an object information producing means 13 for associating temporally the image signal with the detected information of the object detecting means 11 to produce object information for specifying the object in the image signal.
