PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera that stops sequential display of through-images when a focus evaluation value is decreased more than a prescribed value and executes sequential display of through-images when the focus evaluation value is increased more than the prescribed value. SOLUTION: The AF digital camera includes an imaging lens 1, a solid-state imaging device 2, an analog signal processing circuit 3, an analog/digital converter 4, a digital signal processing circuit 5, a memory 6, a digital/analog converter 7, a liquid crystal display monitor 8, a compression/uncompression circuit 9, an external storage means 10, a control circuit 12, a motor 16, a focus control mechanism 17, and a CPU 19. When the focus evaluation value is decreased and reaches a value lower than the prescribed value, the CPU 19 throws only a switch SW1 (Figure 3) in the memory 6 to a position of other buffer. When the focus evaluation value is increased and reaches a value higher than the prescribed value, the CPU 19 throws the switch SW1 (Figure 3) and a switch SW2 (Figure 3) in the memory 6 to a position of the other buffer. |
